-My Review-

My thoughts on the Silent Hill series are growng even more since I first played Silent Hill. I thought it would be just a rip-off of the Resident Evil series, but I was wrong. Ever since that first play, I some how got addicted to playing this game, its true! What I adore about the Silent Hill series over the RE series is that Silent Hill has a more mental horror, that jump horror. Sure, there are parts where a monster or something scary jumps at you and make you jump and gasp in terror, but in Silent Hill, its what you hear while playing the game. Its eather the sound or just the monsters that really make you jump out of your seat. Its the sound that is surrounding you with fear and terror. Every time you turn a corner each sound is different, but in that same feeling.

I think Silent Hill 2 music has to be the best, each tune covered in sadness, based on the storyline. Silent Hill 3 has a whole new meaning, I think. Silent Hill 3 has the best sound effects of terror. Now the game just came out and has scared the noodles out of everyone who's played it. As if Konami dident mentally scare us enough with the second one, eh? This one however has better visuals that add to the greatness of the game and the initial fear.

Truth be hold, this series has about the most fog vision limiting darkness I've ever seen in a game, but its all done with purpose. Here, it serves to set the ambiance and leave the player wondering what's roaming around through it. The fog provides a very good effect, as you can sometimes see silhousettes of nearby enemies walking past or turning toward you.

The rest of you that dident play this terrifying horror game, or is your first time playing I suguest you "Do Not" play this game in the dark, alone or at night. But those of you who are use-to the game its awsome to do so. When I first played it in the dark at night, it totally scared the shit out of me sometimes I thought my house was haunted or something was waiting for me to make a move. Plus, Great digital surround sound gives you a chilling effect. Its a really great horror game that will blow you off your seat!

I rate the Silent Hill series 8.5 because i was very pleased with the storyline and characters but this game was lacking in graphics. I rate the Silent Hill 2 series a 7.8 because i was very pleased with the gameplay and graphics but this game was lacking in storyline. I rate the Silent Hill 3 series a 9.3 because i was very pleased with the gameplay and storyline but this game was lacking in graphics. And finaly the newest Silent Hill game, i rate the Silent Hill 4 series a 7.2 because i was very pleased with the graphics and characters but this game was lacking in gameplay. The reason why I rated Silent Hill 3 my highest rate is because looking back at the first Silent Hill series it really dident make a name for it self, but believe me its one of the best games ever. It also takes you back to the first Silent Hill, So Heather is really Cheryl or is she Alessa? Thats what i really like in this game. It leaves you right in the end of the first game, like a continuation. Silent Hill 2 really had the ratings picked up when the frist Silent Hill droped, plus it was first feacherd on Playstation 2 the best console made in America to date. Every character plays a part in the storyline thats never been played before, its like watching a horror movie and playing it at the same time. Silent Hill 3 is great for that because your worryed about the lead character "Heather" Thats trying to get back home, but is getting pulled back by darkness. And you got The detective playing a part where hes trying to help her but also leaves you in whater you can trust him or not. The first Silent Hill where it all began, monsters, horror and the terror of sounds and music. Silent Hill 4 on the other hand has the most chilling graphics and sound effects, the mosters are new to this game and aslo the lead character, "Henry Townshend". I keep on asking myself and proabably you too, will there ever be a Silent Hill 5?

Enter the quiet mist filled town of Silent Hill.... People gather among the fog looking for lost ones, will you find those who you seek or will the fog and loneliness of Silent Hill consume you?
